I'm baaaaaaaaaack.
I'm not implying that you missed me. Maybe you did. That'd be sweet of you!
So, some of you may be wondering where the title I chose came from. I stumbled across this quote from the inside of a tea bottle. Maybe you've had it. It is a tea inspired by a young mans Granny. While creating this tea, he and his friend encouraged his Granny to give them a small piece of mind from her to put on the inside of the bottle cap. Very similar to the Interesting Facts inside Snapples. These facts are referred to by them as a "Grannyism". Most of them are fun and quirky. Things such as "Don't swallow your gum", "Make love, not war", or "The sun will come out tomorrow". There are also some that always puzzled me. The ones that when your own Grandma says things similar, you stare and nod while wondering what is going on in her old sweet brain. Things like "Don't count your chickens", "Different strokes for different folks", or "Wash a dog, comb a dog, still a dog." Then, there have been a few that have stuck with me. Some that are so simple, but so true.
"Good things come to those who wait."
"Spend more time on what makes you happy"
"Bloom where you are planted".
If you really think about this phrase, it may just be one of the absolute coolest things. And quite possibly, a problem solver in most circumstances.
In this new place that I live, I have no idea what I am doing. I am that girl who wanders around wondering what her purpose is. I long to be in Spokane some days, where my life is comfortable and warming. I don't feel that I have engraved a place for myself here quite yet. And this is because my seed has been planted, and I have decided not to grow - not to bloom. Wherever we are, whatever we're doing, we have the capability to make it what we desire. It may be at school, it may be at home, it may be the Navy, it may be your parents house, it may be a job that sucks...
But what ever you choose...
Choose to bloom.
